Famous Actors Taking The Red-Carpet For The First Time!

Believe it or not, making a Red Carpet appearance isn't as easy as it sounds. Not at all. Especially when you're at the beginning of your career and don't know much about how things work in the showbiz industry. Most of these celebrities started young and learned as they went along, evolving into the experts they are.

The trends at that time were not particularly flattering, but overall it is interesting to see where they started and where they are now! Let's take a look at what some of your favorite celebrities looked like when they hit the Red Carpet for the first time.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Back in the late eighties and early nineties, our beloved Leonardo DiCaprio began what was soon to become a successful acting career. He started in the hit sitcom "Growing Pains" in 1993, moved onto "The Basketball Diaries", and later on played in "Romeo and Juliet". His main start on the carpet was, of course, in his earliest role on "Parenthood" in 1990.

Our most favorite version of Leo was his role in "Titanic." Although Leonardo has aged into the gorgeous man he is, don't you just want to squeeze that cute little face in his debut on the carpet? I know I do!

Tom Hardy

If you look at this flash to the past, you come to see that Tom Hardy looked like an awkward pubescent, but he had soon to grow into the man he is today. His red carpet debut followed his breakout role in the 2001 film, Black Hawk Down, and he truly began to grow from there.

And I'm not gonna lie, Tom Hardy's facial features were just as beautiful in 2002 as they are now, but oh my, working out changes you a lot. And let's not ignore the power of a cool haircut and facial hair. I, for one, am grateful the years have passed, but still admire him from the past.

Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick has always been an absolute sweetheart, and this photo of her from 1998 is proof of that. Anna started walking the red carpet back in 1998 as she blossomed through her start with Broadway shows.

One thing that I like about her is that she looks as candid and natural now as she did the first time she walked on the Red Carpet. Back then, her hair was nicely combed while she rocked that beautiful t-shirt. Watching her now in the "Pitch Perfect" movies leaves us in awe from then and now. You go, Anna!

Daniel Radcliffe

Seeing this photo makes me realize that it's been quite a while - okay, more than that! - since the first of the Harry Potter movies came out. In 2001, Dan looked so young and innocent. His voice was soft like silk, and the Harry Potter glasses were just an adorable add on to the look.

Somehow, there is something about him that has not changed to date. Daniel will always be our adorable, minuscule Harry Potter, even if the aging catches up at some point.

Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart made her first Red Carpet appearance in 2002, when she starred in Panic Room, alongside the iconic Jodie Foster. She had moved onto many more films, most notably Spiderman. Kristen looked adorable and a little tomboyish, and what's not to love about that?

Her short hair added a unique quality to the look, and that blazer was classy beyond her years. Today she is just as gorgeous as she was back then!

Taylor Swift

The first time Taylor Swift graced us with her presence on the Red Carpet was in 2006. That was ten years ago, and I still can't believe the time has passed so fast! Her country music and meaningful lyrics made us believe that we belonged with her, while our tears were the teardrops falling on her guitar.

Probably one of the best songs from her early days was "You Belong With Me".Oh, and also, I love her hair now, but I can't help but admit that I do miss her curls too. She went from sassy country to humble pop and she is still an A-plus on our watch!

Emma Stone

Emma Stone made her first Red Carpet appearance in 2004 starring on VH1's reality show, The New Partridge Family. Let's face it - she hasn't changed one bit, except for the hair. She remains the funniest woman in Hollywood with her talent being a force to be reckoned with. Seriously.

Oh, and her sense of fashion has never changed, even when the past trends were whack. But who cares about that? I love her blonde, brunette, and mainly ginger ... She pulls everything off!

Bradley Cooper

In 2001, Bradley Cooper was just getting started, so for his first Red Carpet appearance, he decided it would be cool to wear a blue shirt and a white blazer. The first role that won him the glory was Wet Hot American Summer, which succeeded to make everyone laugh hysterically.

He also went on to die his hair blonde, which is such a 2000s thing to do. Do you even recognize Mr. Bradley Cooper with this hair-do? I don't but it is way more than okay, he is a star and a gorgeous talent! Currently, Bradley can be proud of the many awards that he has been nominated for due to his exceptional work!

Blake Lively

This pic of Blake Lively when she first walked on the Red Carpet is a good reminder of what 2006 was like. However, she first started off giving up love when she debuted on the carpet due to her role in the 1998 movie, Sandman.

Anyways, look at her make-up - which is pretty basic, compared to what's going on these days - and at her top. Or should we say tops? It doesn't even matter, and the sense of fashion throughout the years is pale in comparison to her acting career in the hit show Gossip Girl. She had a better style on the show itself!

Ryan Reynolds

Oh my, Ryan has changed so much since 1999 when he wowed us as Michael Bergen on the hit sitcom Two Guys and a Girl! But the more I think of it, the more I realize that evolution for the "Two Guys and a Girl" star is truly potent and gorgeous.

Through his evolution, his career took off and became a success, as he obtained a Golden Globe nomination and many more fans. Today, Ryan is gorgeous just like he was back then!

Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling has pretty much always been a heartthrob, so you can imagine that the 1993 version of him on The Mickey Mouse Club was quite cute too. However, as you can guess, working out intensely, getting a bad boy haircut and facial hair are all game-changers for men.

He has grown from being on the "Mickey Mouse Club" to dedicating his time to film and philanthropy. I am so proud of Ryan and all he has accomplished throughout the years.

Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch may be one of the Red Carpet's most beloved celebs, now that he has his gorgeous looks, perfectly fitting suit, and also a beautiful, pregnant wife by his side now. Back in 2004 during his debut in "Heartbeat", his style was completely different than it is now, but he rocked it out!

Aside from acting in movies, Benedict had won the honor of the title as CBE by the Queen of England because of his grand dedication to the arts and music. Talk about royalty!

Zac Efron

Another case of a pretty-faced boy that broke hearts from the very beginning, here is Zac Efron in 2004. He started off acting in the sitcom "Summerland" and moved onto the "High School Musical" series.

Following that, Zac became an actor in more mature movies as well as obtained sex icon status. Needless to say, he has gotten better as he aged on, like a great bottle of the finest wines.

Josh Hutcherson

If I didn't know he went on to play Peeta in the Hunger Games trilogy, I would've seriously never guessed that this guy was him. But then again, I guess a lot of things change over so many years.

(This pic was taken in 2002.) Josh went on to play other roles as a child including acting in the motion capture film Polar Express. He then went on to succeed in many movies that included his necessary aging.

Emma Watson

Just like Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson made her first Red Carpet appearance in 2001, when Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone came out. Quite a few years have passed since then, and Emma - who was beyond cute in the past - is now a beautiful young lady who's making a change every day.

By change, we mean inspiration and not just fashion. We admire her speech at the UN regarding women's rights, and beyond that are so excited to see her play Belle in the upcoming remake of the movie Beauty and the Beast.

Robert Pattinson

In 2005, Rob Pattinson used to wear burgundy velvet blazers on the Red Carpet. And he wore them like a boss, especially with his first one. His start in 2005 was his role as Cedric Diggery in the hit Harry Potter and the Goblet Fire.

I'm getting loads of 'old school' vibes right now, and sometimes, I wish I could turn the clock back. We adored and even had a huge crush on him when he played Edward Cullen in the Twilight series. From the start to the present, Rob has our hearts locked in his cage!

Kim Kardashian

All right y'all, Kim Kardashian may have made contouring a thing these days, but back in 1995, she had absolutely no idea about what being a glamorous make-up queen was all about. She had rocked the natural look and succeeded at it as well.

And the way she dressed was so much different too. She rose to fame from a certain tape and now has her reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians". It is so hard to recognize her from back then to now!

Ariana Grande

We all know Ariana Grande made her debut quite early on as a Nickelodeon star. To be precise, this happened in 2008. Even before that, she starred in a hit musical, "Thirteen", and won the hearts of every audience. Appearing on the red carpet was a breeze for her ever since.

Ariana has moved on from her earlier ages in Nickelodeon to the big stage, in which her sex appeal and flirtatious music has inspired us to be our kind of sexy. I am so in love with Ariana in all of her ages; look at that beautiful smile!

Miley Cyrus

The first thing that struck me about 2006 Red Carpet Miley was the clothing that she wore. Her start on Hannah Montanna gave her a very innocent and angelic look.

She was a lot younger than she is now, but you have to admit that the stuff she shows up dressed in on the Red Carpet now can sometimes be pretty ...revealing. Either way, we love her transformation from Hannah Montanna to a wrecking ball superstar. You go, Miley!

Justin Bieber

Remember 2009? That year when Justin Bieber became famous with his hit "Baby" and all the teenagers were swooning over him? Well, here it is. The look - and the haircut! - that everyone was going crazy over at that time.

Now, Justin rocks the short hair look with the big muscles and that tattoos up the arm, and it is such a heart-throbbing view from behind the television screen!

Rihanna

In 2005, just like this year, Rihanna was really hot stuff. Her music was all the rage, just like it is today. Her sense of fashion is way different at the moment, and you can tell that she's no longer a young, talented girl straight outta Barbados, but a full-blown woman.

Her most recent album has had us dancing and imagining ourselves in the music as well, specifically her song "Love on the Brain". We can't wait to see what else is in store for Rihanna as the future continues to come along.

Beyonce

Beyonce's first Red Carpet appearance was in 1998, with Destiny's Child. Needless to say, even if you ignore her weird facial expression, you have to admit that all the three members of the band wearing matching glitzy outfits was pretty unique.

There's not even a need to describe the evolution of Beyonce because we all know how much she has truly evolved. Her most recent visual record, Lemonade, has been yet again another groundbreaking experience for us viewers, and we will continue to watch and see which direction she goes.

Calvin Harris

Ooookay, Calvin Harris is one of the hottest DJs out there at the moment, and this is his debut in 2009. His music and production have featured many famous artists since 2005 including Rihanna, Florence Welch, and Ellie Goulding; that is only a few out of a handful of more artists.

Although his look was quite funky back then, which was also cute, he has become such a gorgeous man that sometimes we look past his music and see his glorious change.
