A few weeks ago a shoplifter got caught on CCTV in Blackpool, England. The internet went wild with the police footage of... David Schwimmer shoplifting! The guy was seen carrying a box of beers right in front of the security camera. Not so smart if you ask the average Joe. But when you think about it, if you look like someone else, why would you care if you're on the internet?
It Wasn't Me
While British police are searching for this David Schwimmer lookalike, Schwimmer himself posted a video of him doing the same thing – taking some beers and “getting caught” on camera. It’s truly hilarious. He captioned the video: "Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation."
Lucy Hale & Selena Gomez
Star of “Pretty Little Liars”, actress Lucy Hale has certainly been on the receiving end of having the (unfortunate) luck of looking similar like singer Selena Gomez. While Gomez was dating Justin Bieber, a person from the public tried stealing Hale’s cellphone hoping to call Bieber. While Gomez was appearing on “Wizards of Waverly Place”, fans would reportedly get the two mixed up all the time.
Another time a lady at an airport took a picture with Hale and afterwards the two got talking. Hale realized the lady thought she was Gomez, however, she didn’t utter a word as she didn’t want to “crush her dreams”.

Recently Hale was seen in the television series “Life Sentence” and is currently working on the independent film “A Nice Girl Like You”. It begs the question, how exactly did it all come together? It turns out it was all thanks to a Q&A session on the discussion website, Reddit.com. Ferrell apparently agreed that he did indeed look something like the RHCP drummer. This in turn prompted Smith to challenge the “Anchorman” actor to a drum battle as a way to raise funds for charity.
Interestingly, Ferrell comes from a musical family where his father was a longtime keyboardist and saxophonist for The Righteous Brothers.
