30th Place: Anri Sakaguchi
Anri Sakaguchi, the daughter of veteran actress Ryoko Sakaguchi, is a former entertainer who fell into a costly host club addiction in 2013, accumulating around 20 million yen in debt. Her mother had also endured severe financial strain, inheriting a debt of 4 billion yen from her ex-husband at the age of 40.
Although Anri began her career in the entertainment world, her life took a downward turn after her mother’s passing in 2013. Struggling with loneliness and the loss of her strongest supporter, coupled with public criticism, she increasingly sought escape in host clubs.

In 2016, Anri Sakaguchi entered the adult film industry in an effort to pay off the debts she had accumulated from her host club addiction.
When asked about her earnings from her debut, she hesitated before revealing, “Several billion yen,” prompting astonished reactions from those around her.
Her troubles continued in 2017 when she was arrested for trying to extort 30,000 yen from a host she knew. Two years later, in 2019, she was taken into custody again for breaking into the apartment of her ex-boyfriend, who was also a host. Over the years, she has faced numerous scandals. Although she has since retired from show business, she now works at a soapland establishment, with rumors suggesting she still visits host clubs.
29th place: Kazuko Hosoki
Kazuko Hosoki, a well-known fortune teller and television personality, rose to fame as the creator of Rokusei astrology. In 2010, during an appearance on a show hosted by Bakusho Mondai, she admitted that she had once been a regular at host clubs. In her younger years, she often visited such establishments, at times spending as much as 8 million yen in a single night. By the age of 20, she had opened her own club in Ginza and was deeply familiar with Tokyo’s nightlife scene. She developed Rokusei astrology in 1982, and within just a few years it became a massive hit — a success she partly credited to the hosts who supported its rise.

Hosoki explained her approach by saying, “I treated visiting host clubs as an advertising expense. The 5,200-yen set book sold 13 million copies in just one year.” When Ota from Bakusho Mondai challenged her, suggesting the sales weren’t simply because she went to host clubs, she clarified, “There are hundreds of hosts who come and go. When they move back to the countryside, they talk about how amazing Kazuko Hosoki is — and that boosts my sales.” By 2024, Rokusei Uranjutsu had sold 100 million copies worldwide and earned a Guinness World Record as the best-selling fortune-telling book in history. It’s possible that her calculated effort to charm hosts played a key role in this achievement.
28th Place: Eriko Wakisaka – TV Personality
Eriko Wakisaka, a glamorous anesthesiologist, gained attention on variety shows around 2014. Following her divorce, her fixation on host clubs intensified. Despite her medical career, she reportedly had no savings and openly shared on TV that she visited host clubs twice a week and once spent 9 million yen in a single night.
In 2016, Wakisaka was arrested for insurance fraud, accused of swindling about 1.55 million yen by claiming payments for medical procedures she never performed. The scheme came to light when one of the hosts she frequented leaked the information. Rather than treating patients, she allegedly had hosts bring in their insurance cards, funneling the funds toward her lavish nightlife. She received a three-year prison sentence, suspended for four years, along with a three-year suspension of her medical license. While some criticized the leniency of the sentence, her mother promised to support her rehabilitation, and Wakisaka claimed, “I didn’t know it was a scam.”

Given the deliberate nature of the scheme, many doubted her denial. Although she will regain her license in three years, the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists announced in 2017 that she would be permanently barred from rejoining the organization. After being released on bail, Wakisaka worked as a “1-yen” writer and launched a website called Eriko Wakisaka’s Beautiful Labo. However, with earnings far below her peak years, it remains uncertain whether she can continue supporting her host club lifestyle.
27th Place: Mariya Nagao – Idol
Mariya Nagao, a former AKB48 member from the 9th generation alongside Haruka Shimazaki and Mina Oba, made headlines in July 2023 when Bunshun reported she was dating a Kabukicho host. While the article withheld his name, speculation pointed to “Haruto Nanase,” identified by a distinctive tattoo. Nanase is a legendary host who achieved annual sales of 100 million yen for four consecutive years and now serves as the producer of the host club RE:MAKE.
A weekly magazine claimed the pair were in a serious relationship and even considering marriage, but many fans expressed concern, with comments like:
“Both his hands and feet are covered in tattoos…”
“Maybe she should rethink this.”

The two reportedly met through a mutual acquaintance, though this hasn’t been confirmed. Known for her flashy lifestyle and having once been targeted by the Garcy gun scandal, Nagao’s association with a former host didn’t surprise those around her — some even said, “It makes sense for Mariya Nagao.” Bunshun suggested marriage talks had already begun, but there have been no updates on their relationship’s progress. Despite the rumors, she remains active in gravure modeling and idol production, perhaps too focused on her career to settle down for now.
26th Place: Kokona Yuzuki – Former Idol
Yuzuki Kokona, once known as a “troublesome idol,” is a former adult actress who admitted to spending 15 million yen on a host within a single year. The host in question is believed to be Yusei from Club Eagle in Kabukicho.
Back then, Yuzuki was an underground idol who traveled to rural areas to earn money. She stayed in inexpensive capsule hotels and worked there, making about 800,000 yen over five days. To cover her host expenses, she also took jobs in cabaret clubs and engaged in transactional relationships.
Her transformation wasn’t driven by money alone; she altered her appearance to please the hosts. She reportedly lost 15 kilograms after being told that she was overweight.

Her attachment to the host club deepened to the point where she was evicted from her home for falling behind on rent while spending on champagne towers. Although rumors swirled around her, she believed her host was “number one” and even declined many auditions related to her main career.
Despite the large sums she spent, they only met a handful of times outside the club. In 2019, Yuzuki entered the adult video industry, but her host club obsession appeared to fade, leading to her retirement from entertainment in 2023. After working a day job for a while, she was approached by a senior colleague and has since returned to work at a small entertainment agency.
25th Place: Naoko Ken – TV Personality
Naoko Ken is a singer, TV personality, and actress with a diverse career. Around 2007, she became obsessed with hosts after being spotted on a date with Sawakuni Kouhei from the host club "Ai." She later apologized publicly for this obsession. The host she was particularly drawn to was Yusei, a popular figure at "Ai" (Love). When Naoko appeared on a TV show alongside Ken, Ken became a fan of Yusei and started visiting the bar regularly. Naoko herself frequently went there and exchanged private contact details with Yusei.

However, after a while, Yusei stopped showing up at the club and began appearing at company trips, pressuring Naoko to go to hotels demanding intimate favors. He even stalked her on her way home, leading Naoko to file a complaint. Though rumors suggested this stalking incident caused her to be pushed out of the entertainment industry, it’s believed her career was already in decline beforehand. She shifted her focus to stage performances and, despite a serious injury in 2017, made a comeback after rehabilitation. Like many host addicts, Naoko Ken might possess a personality that, once fixated, is hard to break free from.
24th Place: Sora Tokui – Voice Actor
Sora Tokui is a voice actress best known for portraying Nico Yazawa in Love Live!. Around 2008, rumors circulated that she was dating Captain Kuni Depp, a popular Nico Nico Douga streamer who used to work as a host and now works as a host producer. During a 2010 broadcast, Captain Kuni Depp referred to Tokui as one of the women he had “been with,” making some bold remarks that fueled speculation about their relationship.
Statements like “I wasn’t in the entertainment industry at the time” and “Tokui Aozora’s ***** was tight” were aired, though their accuracy remains uncertain. Back in 2008, Tokui hadn’t debuted as a voice actress yet and was working as a campaign girl, so the timeline matched the rumors, giving them some credibility.

In 2014, discussions about their relationship flared up on the internet, especially on the “Tokui Aozora Thread” message board. Fans pieced together circumstantial evidence and concluded the two were dating. The controversy became so widespread that Captain Kuni Depp publicly denied the claims, labeling them a hoax. While the truth remains unknown, the incident contributed to Tokui Sora’s image as someone obsessed with hosts.
23rd Place: Aya Kaneko – YouTuber
Aya Kaneko is a beauty YouTuber known for having had 11 boyfriends, one of whom was a host. Because of this, many claim she’s obsessed with hosts, though she denies the label. She says she met that host in a setting unrelated to host clubs and only visited such places because of acquaintances. She insists the host she dated was just a coincidence.
There’s a rumor that Kaneko named her cat “Chichi” as a nod to a host boyfriend’s cat named “Goku,” hinting at their connection through the pet names.

However, Kaneko has a history of dishonesty, making it hard to verify the truth of these stories. She once claimed to have lost her fiancé, but that was later exposed as false. In 2021, she was reportedly hospitalized for a ruptured cerebral artery, though many suspect the cause was related to mental health. Despite all the controversies, it’s unclear if she still frequents host clubs.
22nd Place: Miho Miyazaki – TV Personality
Miho Miyazaki, a former AKB48 member, was the subject of a Bunshun magazine report in February 2016 revealing her relationship with Fujiwa Reiji, a host at the Kabukicho club "LOVE." Although the two were reportedly living together part-time, her agency denied they were dating. The public showed little interest in the news, so it didn’t spark much controversy. In fact, many reacted positively, with comments like:
“Did someone pay to get this story written?”
“This is the first time I’ve heard she had a future... It’s more surprising than the scandal.”

Some even criticized Bunshun for targeting a “promising idol.” Despite the association with hosts, Miyazaki’s reputation wasn’t significantly harmed, and she continued to be overlooked in elections before graduating from AKB48 in 2022. Afterward, she relocated to Korea, where she enjoys a good reputation. In 2024, she earned a special small vessel operator’s license and is now pursuing activities in unexpected fields.
21st Place: Meimi Takahashi – Former Idol
Meimi Takahashi is a former idol and adult video actress who spent 7 million yen on plastic surgery. In 2018, she launched the idol group “AXE” and was a member herself. The following year, she transitioned to adult films, driven by her addiction to host clubs. She reportedly spent 4.5 million yen on a bottle of Louis XIII, a luxury brandy, for her favorite host. Feeling limited by earnings in soapland work, she didn’t hesitate to become an adult film actress. In 2020, she published her autobiography but eventually left the industry due to depression, despite her financial success.

For Meimi, host clubs were more than entertainment—they were a place to spend money and find comfort during tough times, with hosts acting like a soothing influence. However, the host she fell for began treating her harshly, causing her to lose interest. Nowadays, she spends around 40,000 yen with him about once a month. In July 2023, she adopted the name “Mizuno Meimi” and returned to adult films. As of September 2025, she remains active in the industry.
20th Place: Yumemi Luna – Manga Artist
Yumemi Luna is a manga artist who openly admits to being obsessed with hosts and is currently working as an adult entertainer. Drawing from her own life, she serialized a manga titled Luna Wants to Dream About Hosts – A True Story of a Host-Mad Life on Cocomil. Her addiction to host clubs began during her first year in the workforce. Struggling financially, she quit her original job and entered the nightlife industry. Instead of just blogging about her experiences with hosts, she chose to share her story through a manga. This autobiographical series has since been completed.

As her manga gained popularity, Yumemi Luna continued working both as a hostess and an adult entertainer. Until recently, she lived with an unsuccessful host as a hobby—something that might be puzzling to those unfamiliar with host culture. Despite this, she is well-regarded among host fans and those curious about the host lifestyle. With her manga enjoying widespread acclaim, she’s definitely someone to watch.
19th Place: Nonohana Sakurai – Model
Nonohana Sakurai is a model who once held the title of "No. 1 in Kabukicho" and has been managing a cabaret club since 2017. She became addicted to hostesses during her university years, which led her to become a hostess herself to financially support them. While juggling university studies and hostess work, she repeated a year three times but impressively maintained her number one spot for 100 consecutive months.

She built close ties with Kabukicho’s hosts and was reportedly dating Kaimon, a top host at the club KING. Sakurai also aimed to open a host club, but in May 2021, she was arrested for running a cabaret club without a license. During the investigation, it was revealed she had lied about her age by two years and was actually married—she was 32 at the time of arrest. Her wife, who was president of the cabaret club, announced their divorce in August. Following the arrest, Sakurai received a suspended sentence.
As of 2025, she appears to be operating several venues again. Her history includes extravagant choices such as spending 10 million yen on plastic surgery, and she’s likely to maintain strong connections with hosts moving forward.
18th Place: Yuri Ebihara – Model
Yuri Ebihara, a fashion model who rose to fame around 2006 and was affectionately called “Ebi-chan,” would visit host clubs to relax despite her busy schedule. Her favorite was the well-known host club “R” in Kabukicho. Unlike extravagant spenders, Ebihara preferred to drink discreetly so as not to draw attention. She had even asked a host friend of Yu Yamada, her ex-boyfriend, for company on several occasions. She was reportedly familiar with the host scene, having previously requested the company of a host who felt like an older brother to her.

Although not considered a host fanatic, her agency denied she frequented host clubs, likely to protect her public image. It’s unclear whether she continued visiting hosts after that time. In 2009, she married ILMARI, MC of RIP SLYME, and they have two children born in 2015 and 2021, suggesting she likely doesn’t have time to be caught up in host club culture anymore.
17th Place: Kumamoto Pro-Wrest – Comedian
Kumamoto Pro-Wrest is one half of the comedy duo “Beni Shouga.” As of 2023, she stands about 165 cm tall and weighs around 101.6 kg, with a build comparable to a professional wrestler. Kumamoto has openly admitted to frequenting host clubs and reportedly carries debt from her visits. Before moving to Tokyo, she spent between 60,000 and 150,000 yen per outing at host clubs, a habit she’s maintained since relocating. Her favorite host in Tokyo is Tachibana Mirai from the Kabukicho club “Candy.”

Kumamoto is known for showing up to host clubs wearing overalls, which Tachibana Mirai casually unhooks before heading to the restroom. After winning the “Female Comedian No. 1 Competition THE W 2023,” Beni Shouga received a prize of 10 million yen. Even after splitting the money, they had 5 million yen left, but ended up borrowing from seniors by buying champagne for Mirai—leaving almost no prize money left. It was later revealed that after their win, the host contacted them asking, “Can you pay 5 million yen today?” The question remains whether Kumamoto will ever realize she’s being exploited by the host.
16th Place: Kurumi Tachibana – Author
Kurumi Tachibana is an author who spent eight years working as a hostess starting at age 18. She wrote an autobiography titled Judas, which became so popular it was adapted into a movie. With her extensive experience in nightlife, she was also a frequent visitor of host clubs. When Anri Sakaguchi was arrested for threatening a host, Tachibana commented that Sakaguchi’s involvement was “half-hearted,” implying Tachibana herself was a more serious host club regular.

Tachibana left the entertainment world in March 2019. After retiring, she earned a childcare worker qualification and, as of 2025, is a single mother raising her son while working at a children’s home. Having witnessed the darker side of life, she chose to dedicate herself to caring for children.
15th Place: Hitomi Kuroki – Actress
Hitomi Kuroki, an actress known for her work with the Takarazuka Revue as well as her roles as a presenter and TV personality, first ventured into the host club scene in 2008 after performing alongside a host. She spent about five hours there and generously opened ten bottles of champagne. In 2009, she visited a host club again to portray a host’s wife in a TV drama titled Host’s Wife. She appears open about her visits and has spoken candidly about them in the media.

Kuroki also appeared on the popular host ROLAND’s YouTube channel, where she confessed, “I love host clubs,” and admitted to visiting them privately. Comments on the video included praise like:
“It’s refreshing to hear someone openly say they enjoy host clubs.” “She’s really confident about going to host clubs.”
Given the setting of ROLAND’s channel, many of the reactions were supportive and positive.
14th Place: Nijika Ishimori – Idol
Nijika Ishimori is a former member of Keyakizaka46 (now Sakurazaka46). In September 2020, Bunshun revealed she had been dating a host in Shinjuku for about a year. The host was described as handsome, resembling EXILE’s Takanori Iwata, and reportedly had another girlfriend besides Ishimori. They met in 2019 at a Kabukicho host club, later becoming close friends before starting to date. Most of their time together was spent privately at each other’s homes.

Ishimori only visited the host club once, so she wasn’t known for spending heavily there. Known for her playful personality and standout singing skills—the best in the group—she was a popular member of Keyakizaka46. After the report, she admitted the truth and requested to graduate. The group rebranded as Sakurazaka46 in October 2020, and her scandal is believed to have played a role in that change. Since leaving Keyakizaka46, Ishimori has continued working as a talent, focusing mainly on theater and rarely appearing on television.
13th Place: Misono – Singer
Misono is a singer and the younger sister of Kumi Koda. In February 2018, an online article titled “Women in the Entertainment Industry Who Spend Money at Host Clubs” included her name. The piece reported that Misono was often seen at host clubs in Kabukicho and had even attended an annual event hosted by one of the clubs. However, she denies being a regular visitor. She clarified that she doesn’t drink alcohol at host clubs, doesn’t have a favorite bar, and only socializes with hosts without spending any money.

Public reaction was largely indifferent, with comments like:
“I don’t care.”
“Just because she went there doesn’t mean it harms her image.”
Though the response was blunt, it didn’t seem to damage her reputation. Still, since Misono did appear at a host club event, fully denying involvement is hard to justify. If she truly frequented host clubs, perhaps she can take pride in turning her interest into part of her career.
12th Place: Suzanne – TV Personality
Suzanne is a TV personality who rose to fame for her quirky, goofy persona on the show Quiz! Hexagon!! In 2009, during her peak popularity, she was spotted frequenting a host club in Kabukicho. The host’s identity remains uncertain, but his initials are “OT.” Some online speculation suggests his name might be “Ozora Tsubasa,” though this hasn’t been confirmed. This host has made past TV appearances and reportedly favors Suzanne, offering her drinks at discounted prices. They reportedly meet about twice a week, and her mother sometimes visits the club as well.

According to insiders at the host club, Suzanne’s silly image is largely an act; she carries an intellectual vibe when inside the club. Before entering the entertainment industry, Suzanne worked as a hostess in Nakasu. She was known for her sharp wit, making the idea that her goofy persona is just a crafted character quite plausible.
In 2024, Suzanne is set to become president of Yama Co., Ltd., with plans to renovate a traditional Japanese inn in Kumamoto City and open “KAWACHI BASE - Ryuei-so” in December. She seems to be broadening her range of activities beyond TV.
11th Place: Usagi Nakamura – Writer
Usagi Nakamura is a writer who debuted in 1991 with Gokudo-kun Travelogue. Around the year 2000, in her 40s, she became deeply obsessed with hosts. She reportedly spent a large amount of money trying to win over a host in Kabukicho who was seven years her junior. After about a year together, they broke up. When she ran out of funds and said she couldn’t visit host clubs anymore, the host suggested, “Let’s have one last meal together.” During that meal, he confessed, “I love you,” which led her to spend around 30 million yen on him.

She realized she was loved for her money but secretly hoped “maybe a miracle will happen this time,” trapping herself in a cycle she couldn’t break. Before this addiction, she was behind on utility bills and had a habit of buying expensive brand-name goods. After growing weary of the host lifestyle, she even underwent plastic surgery to resemble actress Miho Nakayama. Her chaotic life has been recounted in essays like Binbou Nikki and Shopping Queen. Later, Nakamura faced a serious illness, suggesting that her obsession with hosts was just one chapter in a turbulent life.
10th Place: Kirara Asuka – Adult Film Actress
Kirara Asuka is a former adult film actress who has since become a beauty product producer. She enjoyed great success in her acting career before retiring in 2020. With 2.53 million Instagram followers, she remains a popular figure. In August 2022, Bunshun reported that she was dating Sakito, a top host at Kabukicho’s “TOP DANDY” club. Known as the “Tegoshi Yuya of the host world” for his good looks and gentlemanly charm, Sakito was even photographed visiting Asuka’s home and walking with his arm around her.

Their agencies have said they hang out as customers, and both have stated on YouTube, “We’re not dating, but we get along well.” Still, given their closeness, many wonder if their relationship might soon cross into something more.
9th Place: Yoko Maki – Actress
Yoko Maki is an actress known for roles in films like Veronica Decided to Die. In April 2016, Josei Seven reported that she frequented host clubs, with her favorite being “A,” the oldest and most prestigious club in Kabukicho. On some nights, she reportedly spent as much as 20 million yen there. She would arrive dressed casually, as if coming from home rather than work, and not only opened wine for her favorite host but also for others.
Thanks to her generosity, her favorite host topped sales that month with tens of millions of yen, becoming the No. 1 host. Around that time, Maki had recently divorced—about six months prior—and her mother was caring for her children. This change in her life circumstances is thought to have contributed to her addiction to hosts.

In 2023, Maki faced controversy over an air gun scandal, but throughout the ordeal, her partner—an actor named Katsushika Shin, 16 years her junior—stood by her side. Although her mental health remains a concern, her supportive partner might have helped her move on from the host club lifestyle.
8th Place: Yu Yamada – Actress
Yu Yamada is a model and actress who was once part of the dance group “Y’Z Factory.” In May 2008, she was reportedly dating actor Oguri Shun, but prior to that, she was involved with a host named “Yosei.” Celebrities like Yuri Ebihara were also known to frequent the same host club Yamada visited.
After news of her relationship with Oguri died down, Yamada tried to rekindle things with Haruo, a host she knew. She showed up at the bar intoxicated, asking if they could get back together, but Haruo rejected her, reportedly because he was seeing someone else.

Sources say that Yamada initially visited the club in groups but gradually became a regular, often attending events alone. She was said to have a sadistic streak and was known for “bullying” the hosts. Yamada married Oguri Shun in 2012 and had four children by 2022. Her relationship with Haruo is now seen as a troubling chapter in her past.
7th Place: Fumie Suguri – Former Figure Skater
Fumie Suguri, a two-time Olympic figure skater, was known to frequent a host club in Kabukicho around 2011. According to one host, she completely changes when she drinks and isn’t satisfied unless treated like a queen. She also praised other hosts for their kindness.

The host mentioned that since a female companion usually covered the payment, Suguri wasn’t considered a “big customer,” and they preferred not to sit with her. At that time, Suguri was reportedly close to a host known as X, who manages several host clubs in Kabukicho and Nagoya. Rumors of their marriage circulated within the host community, but X denied these claims, saying they only had dinner when she returned to Japan.
Although Suguri once had an image of being very involved with men, in 2014 she publicly stated she doesn’t mind gender. In 2016, she appeared on a TV program alongside a female DJ, showing her open and positive attitude toward both heterosexual and homosexual relationships remains consistent.
6th Place: Host Crazy Aoi – YouTuber
Host Crazy Aoi is a YouTuber with over 200,000 subscribers who openly calls herself a host fanatic. She had a difficult childhood marked by her parents’ divorce and abuse from her aunt, even spending time in a psychiatric hospital during junior high. After moving to Tokyo at 17, she became addicted to host clubs, visiting about 100 of the roughly 800 clubs in Kabukicho within one year. She started a YouTube channel sharing her host club experiences and insights into Kabukicho’s nightlife. Her activities also include supporting the homeless and women facing unplanned pregnancies, which helped boost her popularity.

However, in 2021, Aoi faced criticism for borrowing money from a fan to fund her host club visits. Struggling with debt from a loan shark, she asked a fan for 1 million yen. When he refused, she threatened self harm, which frightened him into lending her 1.05 million yen. She later asked the fan for more help with living costs, leading Aoi to borrow a total of 1.75 million yen. She reportedly plans to start repaying the debt in small installments starting January.
Aoi paused her YouTube activities in January 2024 and is currently working at a bar called “Comet” in Kabukicho. Many are watching to see if she can successfully manage her debt repayment.
5th Place: Kyoko Fukada – Actress
Kyoko Fukada is an actress and singer who rose to fame under the nickname “Fukakyon.” Rumors of her being obsessed with host clubs have circulated since 1999, when reports first surfaced about her frequent visits to such venues. While her favorite clubs were mainly in Shinjuku, there were also whispers of a physical relationship with a host in Roppongi.
Afterward, Fukada dated several actors including Hideaki Takizawa, Noriyuki Higashiyama, and Kazuya Kamenashi. In 2019, it was revealed she was involved with businessman Hiroyuki Sugimoto, who supported her during a break from the entertainment industry in 2021 due to adjustment disorder.

Despite Sugimoto’s support, Fukada’s habit of going out to bars in the afternoons and returning home late, combined with her drinking issues, led to their breakup in 2023. It remains unclear if she still frequents host clubs, but it seems she may need more time before finding lasting happiness, especially in terms of marriage.
4th Place: Maki Goto – Talent
Maki Goto is a talent and former Morning Musume member who developed a host obsession influenced by her mother. The first signs of her involvement surfaced in 2015, when she was around 30. Reports suggest she had a favorite host club that she visited just before closing time—likely to pick up a host to take home—while passing the time by playing pachinko.

In September 2018, Weekly SPA! exposed an affair between a former Kabukicho host and a former idol. Though the host’s name wasn’t revealed, details hinted that the idol was a Morning Musume member, leading to speculation that it was Goto. The host, affiliated with a right-wing group, was described in the article with explicit details about his behavior and physical traits. He was said to be “kind to hosts” and polite as a customer.
In March 2019, Goto’s husband filed a lawsuit against her lover. Although the lover wasn’t a host, the revelation shocked the public due to Goto’s perceived lack of integrity. Despite this, her husband did not pursue a divorce, and Goto continues her career in the entertainment world.
3rd Place: Ayako Kato – Announcer
Ayako Kato is a former Fuji TV announcer who, despite her innocent public image, was actually a gal during her school years and dated a host while in her third year of junior high. She quickly rose to prominence, hosting the title program "Katopan" within six months of joining Fuji TV. Around 1999–2000, she reportedly met and began dating a host through a pick-up. Photos showing her ganguro (dark-skinned, flashy style) look and “chupuri” (intimate) moments with the host were leaked, causing her great embarrassment and even making her consider quitting her news announcer job.

Nonetheless, Kato continued her broadcasting career and built a strong reputation. In 2019, it came to light that she was in a relationship with NAOTO, leader of the group Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS. Those familiar with her earlier rebellious days were unsurprised. In June 2021, Kato married a supermarket and food import business manager with annual sales reportedly around 200 billion yen. The couple welcomed their first child in 2023, and Kato has since scaled back her work to focus on family life.
2nd Place: Masami Nagasawa – Actress
Masami Nagasawa is an actress who rose to fame with roles in movies like "Crying Out Love in the Center of the World." Reports surfaced in 2013 about her involvement with host clubs. At that time, she was dating Yusuke Iseya, but rumors suggested their breakup was linked to her host club activities. A decade later, in February 2023, news again emerged about her frequenting host clubs in Kabukicho. She reportedly preferred mid-tier hosts rather than the most popular ones, and rumors hinted at questionable relationships since she remained sober even after drinking large amounts of strong alcohol.

Whispers around her include:
"She orders as much alcohol as she wants depending on the host."
"She easily charms hosts at high-end clubs."
These stories have taken on an almost legendary status.
However, as the COVID-19 pandemic eased in 2023 and media attention grew, Nagasawa’s visits to host clubs apparently ceased entirely. Though it seemed the host-related scandal was behind her, concerns remain that some of the discarded hosts might seek revenge. We’ll watch closely to see how things unfold.
1st Place: Naoko Iijima – Talent
Naoko Iijima is an actress and TV personality who became well-known for her calming presence. She divorced Nobuteru Maeda from the band TUBE in 2001. Afterward, she developed an obsession with “Only Yu,” a Kabukicho host thirteen years her junior. Iijima would often spend around 1 million yen per night with him, sometimes even up to 5 million yen. She went so far as to purchase a luxury tower apartment worth 250 million yen for them to live together.

Planning to marry Only Yu, she showered him with gifts including a new red Mercedes and financial support to open a bar and boutique. The total amount she reportedly gave him reached 400 million yen before their breakup in 2007. The split was said to be caused by Only Yu’s infidelity, though rumors also suggested that Iijima’s agency paid her 10 million yen as a form of severance.
Undeterred, she later fell for another handsome host at a different club, resembling actor Hiro Mizushima, spending about 1 million yen each night. Her frequent host club visits led to her being unable to take on early morning work, resulting in a sharp decline in her career. In 2012, Iijima married an ordinary real estate businessman, but they divorced in 2020 due to her husband’s unfaithfulness. She reportedly received a substantial alimony settlement and is believed to be financially stable.
