Rashida Jones

Parent: Quincy Jones

Rashida Jones is an actress, singer, comic book author, screenwriter and film producer. You may recognize her as Ann Perkins from the famous comedy, "Parks and Recreation".

Her father Quincy Jones is one of the most well known music producers in the industry, if not even more so known as a legend. Rashida Jones can surely be considered as one Hollywood royalty, as her father is Quincy Jones and her mother is Peggy Lipton. She claims to be grateful for everything she has, even though she made a bizarre comment on her parents appearing in her TBS show "Angie Tribeca", while promoting this satirical comedy series at a TCA panel, in early 2016. Talent runs well in the Jones bloodline as you can see.

There's More...

Georgia May Jagger

Parent: Mick Jagger

English singer and songwriter Mick Jagger is best known as the lead singer and a co-founder of the Rolling Stones. His beautiful daughter, Georgia May, did not follow the shadows of her father in terms of music, but she did follow in his success.

In 2012, Georgia May took part in the Summer Olympics closing ceremony along side Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Lily Donaldson, representing British fashion. . Although Mr. Jagger is seen as one of the coolest rock'n'roll personalities in history, his daughter, Georgia May claims that he's not an interesting character and that she often feels embarrassed by some of his public actions. So, it's definitely one thing to see him appearing and performing live when he's at his best, and another to live with him and see what kind of person he is behind the scene and in personal life.

Lily-Rose Melody Depp

Parents: Johnny Depp & Vanessa Paradis

Having two beautiful parents makes for one gorgeous modeling daughter,Lily-Rose Melody Depp. While Johnny is an actor, Vanessa is a successful singer, actress, and model, so we can see where Lily-Rose got her runway skills from.

Depp said that having children has given him a real perspective of life and everything around it. He says that he really enjoys parenthood and that his kids are the most important thing for him. After Lily was hospitalized at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, Depp visited the hospital dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow. He spent hours hanging out with children, and has donated 1 million pounds in gratitude for his daughter’s recovery.

Colin Hanks

Parent: Tom Hanks

If there were a movie starring Tom Hanks going back in time, his son Colin would instantly succeed in playing him in the film. Colin is more well known for his role on the new television show, "Fargo", which has garnered him much success.

Colin stated that he is in good relations with his father, he thinks that there are no reasons to disrespect your parents after they divorce. It is known that Colin has a good relationship with his stepmother Rita Wilson. Both Colin and Tom are huge music buffs, they created a special connection because of their passion, Colin once stated that his dad “only likes music if it sounds like it was recorded between 1961 and 1965.” so he has to educate him on more contemporary stuff.

Emma Roberts

Parent: Eric Roberts

Acting obviously runs in this family as Emma is not only the daughter of actor Eric Roberts, but also the niece of Julia Roberts. Eric Roberts has received many awards for his work in the film industry.

Emma has acted in many television shows on Nickelodeon as a child, and furthered her career in movies. A few years ago, Emma began to pursue a degree and put her career aside, but ultimately made the right decision to return and deliver her talents to our eyes. Eric Roberts defended his daughter after the domestic dispute that she had with her boyfriend Evan Peters. Eric said that arguments are always a part of relationships, grownups have misunderstandings and that is totally normal.

Jessica Capshaw

Parent: Kate Capshaw

Although less known, Kate Capshaw can still be recognized, but only by few. When you see Jessica, you instantly see the lesbian hottie from "Grey's Anatomy", and you're instantly reminded of her constant drama with her ex-wife (sorry to spoil it) Callie.

One could claim that Dr. Robbins is probably one of the best characters on the show, in my honest opinion. The Capshaw family has moved to New York to pursue Kate’s modeling career. Jessica’s parents divorced when she was really young and Jessica got involved with the new glamorous world her mother was in. Her mother married Steven Spielberg when she was 15. Jessica Capshaw married Christopher Gavigan on May 22, 2004, and they have four children together.

Ben Stiller

Parent: Anne Meara & Jerry Stiller

Everyone knows Ben Stiller, but few millennial know his father Jerry Stiller. Both are equally hilarious actors, but it is obvious that Ben inherited his skills from his father.

Both donate their time to making people laugh until they cry, they succeed at this amazingly. Ben and Jerry both starred together in "Zoolander 2". Talk about double the Stiller trouble. Ben and Jerry also costarred in couple of other movies such as "Heavyweights”, “Hot Pursuit” and “The Heartbreak Kid”. Both actors said that they really enjoyed shooting with each other, not a lot of parents and kids have the opportunity to work together, especially in something that makes other people happy. That’s why Jerry is really proud of his kids, especially Ben who followed his steps and started acting.

Bryce Dallas, a beautiful red haired American actress, filmmaker, and writer. Her father is the legendary film director Ron Howard. To most of us Bryce became more recognizable after her role as Victoria in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in 2010", and her career expanded beyond this as well.

Through her father, her grandparents are Rance Howard and Jean Speegle Howard, who are also actors. All of the Howard children were raised in a way where show business does not affect their lives at all. Their parents tried to encourage them not to watch a lot of television but to enjoy and partake in outdoor activities.  At the age of 7, however, she appeared as an extra in one of her father’s movies.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Parent: Tony Curtis & Janet Leigh

Jamie Lee Curtis is a great actress with such a young spirit and a witty sense of humor. It's hard to recognize her parents as they are both actors from decades ago, but obviously she is carrying the torch of her skilled mom and dad.

Jamie Lee Curtis's parents divorced in 1962, after which her mother married Robert Brandt. Lily Collins

Parent: Phil Colline

Lily Collins, or Snow White as we know her from “Mirror Mirror" may not have followed the footsteps of her father, Phil in a career in music, but she definitely has made a name for herself in Hollywood.

Although she may not be a character in Tarzan, she will still always be in her father's heart. She claims that her talent comes from both of her parents. It was difficult to maintain a good relationship with her father, but even though they live far away from each other they managed to have an awesome, friendly connection.  Phil always supports everything his daughter does and Lily claims that she is very proud of her father too. Collins claims that she managed to build her own career in acting without the help of her ultra-famous father.

Parent: Robert Pine

Like father like son, Chris Whitelaw and Robert Pines both share a name in acting. We all remember Robert Pine as Sergeant Joseph Getraer on "CHiP". On July 14, 2016, Chris was nominated for an Emmy Award in "Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance" for his role on the series SuperMansion.

Both are equally talented, and equally handsome. Chris tried to avoid following the acting footsteps of his parents, but he couldn’t deny his ability and talent, so he took a shot and built a career. Chris is proud of his path; he never had any help when it comes to acting and getting roles, so he never wanted his parents help in achieving what he planned. What a way to do it!

Parent: Kirk Douglas

Michael Douglas is the son of famous Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas, and husband of Catherine Zeta-Jones. He has had an amazing career in acting, but also in political activism in which he loans most of his time to.

In 2015, Dakota played Anastasia in the chick flick, "50 Shades of Grey" in which her parents had the pride and joy of seeing her get spanked and whipped by the sick and twisted Christian Grey. In the long run, it’s all for the sake of the career eh?

Robert Downey Jr

Parent:Robert Downey Sr

Robert Downey Jr. treads the same track as his father in Hollywood. He has encountered many self-inflicted inconveniences with the law which gave his father a lot of shame in the industry.

He struggled with drugs from 1996 to 2001, his serious problem with drug addiction lead to arrests and rehab visits. Following rehab and reconciliation, Robert Downey Jr. had recovered his name and sealed the wound he left for his father, Robert Downey Sr. His son changing his life and turning it around was Downey Sr.’s highlight moment he says.  Downey Sr. always points out that his relationship with his son is awesome since he is sober; they joke around all the time and have that special father-son connection.

Jolie says that she is trying her best to raise her children right, just like her mother raised her and her brother.

Allison Williams

Parent: Brian Williams

If any of you are obsessed as I am with the show "Girls", then you would immediately recognize Allison Williams and cringe at the thought of her most intolerable character, Marnie.

Obviously credit is due because when someone's character pisses you off, you know they are doing a great job. Now obviously, her character Marnie is more inflaming like her father Brian Williams, as he is well known for his controversial coverings of the Iraq War. So in this situation, it’s not like daughter and father, but more so a case of Marnie resembling her dad. When her dad was suspended without pay from NBC she stepped up to defend him, claiming that he is a good man, a good father and a good journalist.

Charlie Sheen

Parent: Martin Sheen

So, we all know Charlie Sheen. We even recognize his father due to the same exact face, and also his role in "Apocalypse Now". Both Martin and Charlie are very successful actors, having starred in many different television shows and succeeding at making us all laugh until we cry.

Another child of a great director is Sofia Coppola. Francis Ford Cappola is the mastermind behind the legendary "The Godfather". As we said good things come in pairs, Sofia won an Academy Award for "Lost in Translation", obtaining both a proud father, and a daughter who should be beyond proud of herself.

Sofia’s father Francis enrolled her in all 3 parts of “The Godfather”.  She admits that she never truly understood the whole fuss about the trilogy but she has a lot of respect for it. Her father supported her when she got into film-making and Sofia directed really good movies that the audiences all around the world still love. Abby Elliott

Miley says her father supports her, and that he doesn’t mind all the nudity and crazy topless pictures Miley loves to take. His philosophy is simple, he would rather have her shirtless and be a good person instead of the situation being other way around, which actually makes perfect sense.  Either way, we both love Billy Ray, his mullet, and his beloved, crazy cool Miley.

Emily & Zooey Deschanel

Parent: Caleb & Mary Jo Deschanel

American film cinematographer and film/television director Joseph Caleb Deschanel has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Cinematography 5 times. His beautiful wife, Mary Jo Deschanel, is an American actress. With parents like that, its no surprise that Zooey & Emily turned out to be such great actresses.

It even came to surprise that Zooey has a whole family in the spotlight. Although Zoey stars on the hit show "New Girl", you could say in her family being a new girl is just absolutely irrelevant. Emily on the other hand is starring in a TV show called “Bones” where she plays a role of an anthropologist who has an outstanding brain. Reading through this article we read about talented families a lot, but Deschanel family is something else!
