The stars and crew of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continue to show love and tribute to Stan Lee following the Marvel Comics creator's death earlier this week. News of the Marvel legend's death broke on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, whe he had been rushed to the hospital early that morning, before passing away. He was 95 years old.
While the original six Avengers actors all made tributes to Lee on Twitter following the news of his passing, they have decided to assemble yet again now honoring Lee's legacy with a full-page magazine ad.
The full-page ad taken out by the original six Avengers appeared in this week issue of The Hollywood Reporter, along with five other full-page ads honoring Stan Lee. Signed by Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans, the tribute to Stan Lee is set against the logo of the Avengers in gray. The ad was revealed by THR's editor on Twitter.
Lee, of course, was part of the MCU not just in spirit as he had a cameo in every film and TV show in the franchise. In fact, we will probably see Lee on screen several more times: He filmed cameos for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, and may have filmed others. It will be interesting to see how his absence affects the universe in the future.
